Phoenix Band Wakefield are a non-contesting band, rehearsals are once a week on a Friday Evening. The Band has a low number of engagements throughout the year. We are a friendley bunch of players. Could this be what you are looking for.

We rehearse on Friday evenings at the Manygates Education Centre Manygates Lane Wakefield WF2 7DQ
From 19:00 to 20:30. We undertake about ten concerts per year.
Our Conductor is Mark Bray.
Players of all ages are welcome, and the current age range is from 10 to 76. All the band helpers are voluntary, and we do have a child protection policy.
Our Conductor for many years was Les Heppleston. He was a peripatetic teacher and Head of Brass before retiring in December 2001.
